Nick Clegg visits a nursery school
Schools in Hertfordshire would get around 34 million boost from Lib Dem plan.
Liberal Democrat plans to improve schools and teaching will mean our local schools will have an extra 34 million to spend on our children's education.
Party leader Nick Clegg launched the plans recently. Nick wants to raise standards in all local schools, close the gap between children from rich and poor families and end the era of Government meddling in education.
Local campaigner Louise Lotz said, "The extra funding planned by the Liberal Democrats will help pay for after school and Saturday classes, and extended school days." This money will also help close the gap between rich and poor by increasing the amount of spending on children so that all children who get free school meals will be funded to the same level as children in private education.
