New County Cllr Martin Frearson received a warm welcome from from the Herts County Council Lberal Democrat Group at their first meeting since the St Albans By-Election.
But the meeting held at County Hall in Hertford on Saturday morning lost no time in getting down to the business of discussing developments at HCC and formulating policies and strategies to deal with upcoming situations.
The Group welcomed the new Coalition Government and wished it well, but the situation at Herts County Council remains unchanged - the Conservatives hold the majority and the Liberal Democrats are the Opposition, holding them to account, suggesting improvements, exposing inefficiencies and opposing unwise decisions. Business as usual at County Hall!
